Description

Led by Nandini Chirimar, this discussion-based class will focus on composition principles and critique of both in-progress and completed work. Nandini will address how to integrate parts of an artwork into a unified whole, achieve balance of elements, and conceptualize and create cohesive series. She will guide students with their ongoing projects and answer any technical questions within her areas of expertise, which include: Japanese papers, layering, gluing, etching, drawing, watercolor, and woodblock printing. Active class discussion will be supplemented between sessions through an online Slack forum where Nandini will give consistent feedback to encourage maximum progress.
